Celebrating The Love Of Tennis For Nearly 100 Years
Our Legacy
The Tulsa Tennis Club was founded on June 23rd, 1926
In an elegant dining room in the new Mayo Hotel, seven young, sophisticated Tulsa leaders gathered for lunch. Their purpose was to discuss the formation of a club dedicated to racquet sports. And that’s how it all began.
1950 – 1957
Let's Put In A Swimming Pool
In 1950, the stockholders met once again at the Mayo Hotel, and decided to add a swimming pool to the club. In 1956 – 1957, the clubhouse was also remodeled.
1976 – Today
We Know How To Throw A Party
In 1976, an elaborate party was held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the club. Since then, it has been tradition to hold club sponsored parties on Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day. Birthday parties, wedding receptions and general merriment have been a regular occurrence since the club’s inception.
